Amsted Rail has recently wrapped up a successful exhibition at AusRAIL PLUS 2023. Co-exhibiting with Australian partners, Gemco Rail, we showcased our cutting-edge rail solutions at the International Convention Centre in Sydney from November 13 to November 16.
Visitors to our booth had the opportunity to explore our comprehensive range of products designed for optimal performance in the challenging rail environments of Australia, including:
- Super Service Ride Control bogie systems
- Class K bearings
- Ausbrid Plus bearings
- DraftMaster draft gears
- Coil springs
Another highlight of the exhibition was the presence of Amsted Digital Solutions, showcasing their state-of-the-art onboard telematics device, the IQ Series gateway. This next-generation “no sensor required” system provides real-time monitoring of wheelset conditions and brake system performance when the single onboard device is configured with Bogie IQ technology. The Amsted Digital Solutions team was excited to provide in-depth insights into the capabilities of this innovative device to those who came by the booth.
Event attendees also had the opportunity to learn from Amsted Rail’s Director of Engineering for End-of-Car, John Deppen, based on his abstract, “Mathematical Modeling and Simulation Techniques for Improved Heavy Haul Freight Operations.” The abstract highlighted Amsted Rail’s proprietary modeling and train simulation software. This cutting-edge software not only evaluates the full spectrum of ride quality and conditions but also provides the flexibility to adjust variables such as draft gear performance, coupling system and bogie performance. Amsted Rail’s modeling has made it possible to aid in developing effective solutions to reduce longitudinal in-train forces.
Thank you to all who made AusRAIL PLUS 2023 a memorable and successful event for Amsted Rail. We look forward to continued collaboration and advancements in the Australian rail sector.
