Justin Lidgett is a dedicated team player known for his adaptability and passion as part of Amsted Rail’s telematics division, Amsted Digital Solutions. In his role as Applications Engineer, he coordinates installations and delivers on-site support to customers integrating Amsted’s onboard technology. With over 15 years of hands-on experience, Justin consistently prioritizes customer satisfaction, ensuring successful execution of every project.
Harnessing Military Expertise to Elevate Corporate Success
Before Amsted, Justin served in the US Army and held multiple roles in Satellite Communications while stationed overseas. His seven years of military service laid a strong foundation of discipline and technical skills, which he later transferred to a career working with global onshore and offshore communication providers in the oil and gas industry, before transitioning to a similar role in the railroad industry.
When the company he was working for was acquired, Justin found himself part of the Amsted family. Though he wasn’t familiar with the company at the time, he quickly took note of the growth opportunities and strong leadership it offered.
One of the toughest yet most rewarding aspects of his job, Justin says, is being asked to take on new roles that management has faith he will accomplish.

Justin consistently shows the courage and dedication to step out of his comfort zone, maximizing his strengths not just for personal growth but for the benefit of the company and its customers. Turning a Lifelong Interest into a Rewarding Career
Justin’s role at Amsted has allowed him to dive into a field that fascinated him since childhood. His enthusiasm for the industry is palpable.
“Who at a small age didn’t like trains and how fascinating they were? Now I know so much more about how they work and the jobs each have. I still like to watch trains pass by, knowing all of our products are on the majority of the railcars.”
Justin is enthusiastic about his future, aiming to grow even further in his role and embrace new leadership opportunities. He’s confident that Amsted Rail will continue to lead the industry and that Amsted Digital Solutions will make significant strides globally.
