Jason Hooven brings over twenty years of dedication and expertise to his role at Amsted Rail. Jason has not only carved out a path to personal achievement but has also been instrumental in propelling Amsted Rail toward greater success.
Jason’s journey to Amsted Rail began as uncertainties loomed at his previous company that led him to seek other opportunities. Equipped with a wealth of knowledge and experience in operations, he was quickly offered a position at the Amsted Rail Granite City plant. Now, almost 13 years later, Jason plays a pivotal role in the operation of the foundry, ensuring safety, quality, and financial targets are consistently met.
A Path of Learning, Transformation and Leadership
Despite starting at Amsted Rail with no prior foundry experience, Jason’s thirst for knowledge led him to immerse himself in every aspect of the business. He actively pursued educational opportunities, including participation in American Foundry Society events, and sought mentorship from seasoned colleagues. He was also able to take advantage of Amsted’s tuition reimbursement program to earn his bachelor’s degree while working full time.
